OffTrail is a discovery map, not a data business. This page lists everything the site touches.
Your location
If you tap “Show me” on the map, your browser asks for permission and your position is used to show where you are and which hub is nearest. Your location never leaves your device: it is not sent to our servers, not stored, and not shared. Revoke it any time via your browser’s site settings.
What we store on your device
One small localStorage entry (offtrail_geo_consent) remembers whether you answered the location prompt, so we don’t nag you on every visit. No tracking cookies, no advertising identifiers.
When you submit an experience
We ask for an email address only so we can reach you about your submission during moderation. It is never shown publicly and never shared with third parties.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and collects anonymous, aggregated page statistics. No personal profiles, no cross-site tracking.

Booking links (Booking.com, Hostelworld, Agoda, 12Go) open the partner’s own site, where their privacy policy applies.
